The Partner House is a ‘live lab’. It has been used to understand the steel structure so that we can develop and refine a real model, not a computer model. We have developed systems that allow us to fully integrate M&E in a way that is groundbreaking, ensuring speed of installation with ultra-flexibility for the occupiers. Plumbing that does not leak. Yes, you read it right: it never leaks. We have also integrated smart home technology, and we can continue the work started with Salford to develop the system further, with more ongoing testing and development, to enhance joints and details beyond the super-high standards already set, to continue to deliver super-low energy demand and remove fuel poverty for all, not just those who can afford it.
